Mission of Kidz Love Soccer
Kidz Love Soccer (KLS) was formed in response to a community desire
for an age-appropriate, non-competitive, instructional soccer program.
Just as societal forces moved to birth KLS, our one-of-a-kind curriculum
creates a holistic environment for children to become. We are intentional
about creating a nurturing, learning environment for children ranging in
age from 2 - 12. Soccer, the world's most popular sport, is the perfect
vehicle for our mission.
Kidz Love Soccer programs have been designed with the whole child in mind.
A KLS experience encourages participant self-discovery, where kids not only
learn to love the sport of soccer through mastery of ball skills, but by also
learning important life lessons such as Sportsmanship, Effort, Learning, and
Fun (S - E - L - F tm acronym). Experimentation and invention are their own reward,
as participants learn through fun games and imagination.
Kidz Love Soccer provides children with the positive framework whereby all
players are nurtured, built up, and developed as young athletes. Creativity and
innovation are highly encouraged in a Kidz Love Soccer program, ...where the score
is always, "Fun to Fun!tm"

Philosophy
The winning and losing of sports contests is a big part of American
culture. Kidz Love Soccer gos counter-culture with it's own definition
of winning:
S - Sportsmanship
E - Effort
L - Learning
F - Fun
The easy to remember acronym S-E-L-F is constantly emphasized by
the KLS staff on the field. Competition is never a focus on the
Kidz Love Soccer environment where the score is always "fun
to fun!!"

Kidz Love Soccer History
Kidz Love Soccer was formed in 1979 by it's founder and president
Mr. Christopher Trevisan, known within the Kidz Love Soccer community
as "Coach Chris". Mr. Trevisan's life work as a coach is now passed
on through the invention and continued development of the KLS curriculum;
a 'one of a kind' approach to teaching the great sport of soccer
to the young player. The KLS lead staff have trained more than 400,000
participants to date, and continue to coach more than 30,000 children
annually in more than 80 cities throughout California and Washington State. Kidz Love
Soccer's non-competitive, recreational format provides participants
with the freedom and confidence necessary to learn the game and
flourish as a soccer player.
